We operate our business in the safest way possible, it’s how we like it and it certainly doesn’t get in the way of adventure.
Back when we first had our idea for AuthenticAs, we knew that we were going to have to work with the Department of Conservation. We opened our vision and now hold concessions to guide via 4WD, on foot and bike on most of the conservation land and tracks South of the Aoraki / MacKenzie Basin.
When we are out and about, it’s paramount to us that we leave as little a footprint as possible and the ways in which we operate and our health & safety policies have all been audited by Qualworx - an independent organisation who ensure concessionaires operate with best health & safety practices.
Every trip we take, there is a financial contribution to DOC to help with their uptake of conservation land and tracks.
Our vehicles are both passenger certified and we booth hold current passenger drivers licenses. We also have insurances to cover all the activities that we offer.
Emma is a registered nurse currently practicing at Lakes District Emergency Hospital, and Simon holds a current first aid certificate and has attended specific outdoors first aid courses.
We always carry a personal locator beacon and a well stocked first aid kit.
We’re both double vaccinated and thanks to Emma’s expert knowledge, our COVID based procedures and practices are first class.
